Just had dinner at Melanie's. We try to go several times while we are in the area. The shrimp and grits are what we look forward to. One word, perfect! Absolutely the best.

Great ambience, small restaurant, service was great. Took some time but there was only 1 server, she was amazing. The only negative and is not a big deal, they only have 1 dessert on their menu and when we ask about it, server told us is first come first serve and no other option. And she apologized that they have run out and this was during Lunch time. I need to arrive early. Lol... But I must say food was delicious and I will come back and hopefully get to taste your super popular Key lime pie!!! It was my first time and I really enjoyed it my wife loved her shrimp pasta and my Lobster Roll wow, haven’t had such amazing roll in a long time... I ordered it with sweet potatoes fries, server suggested a special dipping sauce, OMG, amazing... Also the fish dip is a must.. Thank you for everything, we will be coming back soon..

Great food with friendly and fast service. Relaxed and casual atmosphere Came here with a friend this afternoon for lunch. I had the fried shrimp with sweet potato fries, she had grilled shrimp and a side salad. I also got the fried cheese curds. Everything was very tasty. I've had the salmon on previous visits, it's very good too. Staff is friendly and efficient. Service was fast. Very relaxed and casual atmosphere. Has a bit of a tropical vibe. This restaurant is located in the Historic Commercial District of Lake Wales. So when you get done eating, if you haven't already, walk around and see some of the historic buildings.

We had a wonderful experience at Melanie’s Seafood Company Restaurant The food was absolutely delicious and freshly prepared. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly our meals arrived—great for when you're hungry and short on time! The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. What a great seafood restaurant in our area. The menu boasts many choices and one I almost NEVER see: whole pompano! Oh, I couldn't wait to eat it. It was delicious. The homemade "shoestring" fries were excellent. A cozy environment and friendly staff. So glad we "discovered" this gem! Will be back often.

Our family dropped in for dinner and we’ve decided this is our new favorite place! We had -hands down- the tastiest shrimp and grits we’ve ever had. We also loved their smoked fish dip, and enjoyed fresh cut french fries. Our server never left us without sweet tea and the atmosphere was cozy and eclectic.

We very much enjoyed our visit here. The restaurant is small and very modestly decorated, but the food was very good and the young person who waited on us was very attentive. I love french fries and theirs are homemade! So rare to see as everybody uses frozen fries today. We had the grouper sandwich and the grouper was very fresh, and a burger with pimento cheese, which was delicious. We would definitely go back!

Absolute gem of a place. Delicious fish sandwiches. Key lime pie is pretty great too. Emily was also fantastic as our server, made good recommendations and a very pleasant and sweet demeanor. Definitely coming back.
